The Chess Academy Youth Chess Foundation of Chicago

The Youth Chess Foundation of Chicago has been providing beautiful free monthly chess tournaments for CPS students for over 15 years!

Thanks to all who attended this past Saturday's tournament at Whitney Young, where we witnessed a record-smashing turnout of 380 players representing 45 schools! See Whitney Young Chess Results below.

5 Rounds/SS. Unrated. Sponsored by Youth Chess Foundation of Chicago. Enrico Tonti Elementary School, 5815 S. Homan (3400 West). Schedule: All players must sign in at the tournament site by 9:30! Registration 9:00-9:30, Tournament 10:00-2:30, Awards 2:45 (est.). 3 Sections: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced. Awards: Trophies to top 10 beginners, top 6 intermediate players, top 5 advanced players, top beginner team, top intermediate team. Team score determined by top four individual scores. To register: Email or fax a player list including name and team of any players who have not previously played in a YCFC tournament by 1:00 P.M. on Thursday 4/8 to accounting@apartmentpeople.com .
